Accessibility
Welcoming pets means welcoming everyone. We work to make PetCompass usable and comfortable for all people, however they browse.
Designed to be inclusive
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is part of how we design and build, not an afterthought, and we review our work as the product grows.
What we build in
Readable contrast
Color and type meet AA contrast so text stays clear in any light.
Keyboard friendly
Menus, forms, and links work with a keyboard alone, with visible focus.
Screen-reader ready
Semantic structure, labels, and alt text help assistive tech make sense of every page.
A work in progress
Some areas may not be fully accessible yet, and third-party content can fall outside our control. We test with real assistive technology and fix issues as we find them.
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences across animations.
- Descriptive link text and clear, consistent navigation.
- Forms with labels, helpful errors, and large touch targets.
- Ongoing audits as we ship new features.
